Manage inventory
Create locations, track stock and trace movements
With the inventory module you keep an overview of stock, locations and goods movements.
Set up locations
Open inventory management
Go to Inventory → Locations.
Create a location
Click New location and assign a name, code and optionally an address. You can create any number of physical and virtual warehouses (e.g. "Main warehouse", "Service van", "Consignment").
Assign staff
Via the permissions you decide which users have access to which locations.
Maintain stock
Per product you see the target and actual stock per location. How reservations, availability and goods movements interact in detail is explained in Inventory logic & stock control. Stock is automatically:
- increased by goods receipts
- decreased by delivery notes / sales
- adjusted by manual corrections
Stock movements
In the Movements tab every change is documented completely:
- Date and user
- Source and target warehouse
- Quantity and reference (order, invoice, stock count)
Stock count
Via Start stock count you capture the counted stock. SimpliServ automatically creates correction postings for differences.
Minimum stock & warnings
A minimum stock can be defined per product. If stock falls below the threshold, a warning is shown – optionally with an automated workflow for reordering.

How is this guide?
Product categories
Create, order and assign nested product categories to products – incl. the register, invoice notes and channel sync
Reorder notifications
Set up and understand stock warnings: when SimpliServ reports that an item falls below the minimum stock, who gets the notification, how the reorder point and safety stock drive the colours, and why open purchase orders stop the warning
