Personal settings

Manage your personal account: profile picture, language, theme, in-app and email notifications, push, two-factor sign-in and your calendar subscription.

→ Open user settings in SimpliServ

Personal settings apply only to your own account – not to the whole organisation. Here you manage your profile picture, the interface language and theme, your notifications, two-factor sign-in and your calendar subscription. Reach the page from the sidebar under Settings → User settings.

Organisation-wide settings (company data, users, number ranges and so on) don't live here – they're under Admin. This page is only about your personal account.

Account

The Account card shows your name and email. Both come from your user profile and are only displayed here.

Use the round image on the left to upload your profile picture:

Open the image dialog

Click the profile-picture field. The upload dialog opens.

On the File tab, drag an image into the field (or click to pick one) – or, on the URL tab, paste the address of an image. After you confirm, you'll see "Profile picture updated." and the new image appears everywhere in the app.

Appearance

On the Appearance card you set how the interface looks for you:

  • Language – German, English, Italian or Spanish. The change takes effect immediately across the whole interface.
  • Theme – Light, Dark or System (follows your operating system's setting).

Both settings are tied to your account (or this browser) and don't affect other users.

Notifications

On the Notifications tab you decide what you are informed about. The Notifications card lists one row per event with two columns: In-app and Email. Both switches are independent and save immediately.

  • Notify on task assignment – when a task is assigned to you.
  • Notify on task comments – when new comments are posted on your tasks.
  • Notify on proposal status change – when a customer accepts or declines a proposal.
  • Notify on cost estimate decision – when a customer decides on a cost estimate.
  • Notify on new service registrations – when a new service request comes in.
  • Notify on low stock – when an article drops below its minimum stock.
  • Notify on assigned tickets – when a ticket is assigned to you.

How to unsubscribe from single emails without losing the in-app notice is described in Email notifications.

Push notifications

The Push notifications card enables browser push for this device – so you are notified even when the app is closed. Click Grant permission and confirm the browser prompt. Once active, you will see a note that notifications are on for this device.

On iPhone/iPad you first have to add SimpliServ to your home screen and then enable push in the installed app. If notifications were blocked in the browser, you will need to allow them again in your browser settings first.

Attendance PIN

The Attendance PIN card on the Account & appearance tab manages your four-digit PIN for the time clock and user switching. The full walkthrough is in Attendance PIN.

Security (two-factor authentication)

The Security card controls your 2FA login. A badge shows the current status (Active or Off).

  • If 2FA is off, you start setup via Enable 2FA – you're taken to the setup page with a QR code.
  • If 2FA is active, you can turn it off again via Disable 2FA. To confirm you have to enter your password.

Your organisation can make 2FA mandatory for all members (see Security settings). In that case you'll be prompted to set it up automatically at your next login.

You'll find the full guide, including recommended authenticator apps, in Two-factor authentication.

Calendar subscription

Use the Calendar subscription card to subscribe to your appointments in Apple, Google or Outlook calendars. There are two feeds:

  • My schedule (shifts + absences) – a private URL with your shifts and approved absences.
  • Calendar category – pick a category to get a dedicated subscription URL for just that category.

Copy the URL you want with Copy URL and add it as a calendar subscription in your calendar app.

The subscription URLs are private – don't share them publicly. Regenerate token invalidates the existing URL; subscribed apps then have to re-enter the new one.

More on the underlying modules: Shift planning, Absences and Calendar.

  • Attendance PIN — set and change the four-digit PIN for the time clock and user switching.
  • Reset your password — set a new password from the login page.
  • Email notifications — unsubscribe from individual notification emails.
  • Security settings — how your organisation makes 2FA mandatory for all members.
