Attendance PIN
Set, change or remove your four-digit PIN for clock-in and user switching.
Your attendance PIN is a four-digit number tied to your account. It is used in two places:
- Time tracking – clock in and out at the tablet terminal without signing in.
- Switch user – on a shared device colleagues can switch into your account from the profile menu by entering your PIN.
Without a PIN neither works: you cannot clock in at the terminal, and you do not appear in anyone's Switch user menu at all. If nobody in your company has set a PIN, user switching is empty for everyone.
Where to find it
In the sidebar open Settings → User settings and stay on the Account & appearance tab. The Attendance PIN card sits there, right next to the Security card. A badge shows whether a PIN is already set.
Set a PIN
Open the dialog
On the Attendance PIN card click Set PIN.
Enter a new PIN
Type four digits on the keypad – your device keyboard works just as well.
Confirm
Enter the same PIN a second time. If both match it is saved and the badge switches to PIN is set.
Change the PIN
Click Change PIN. You first enter your current PIN, then the new one twice. A wrong current PIN is reported immediately – you do not have to pick a new PIN first.
After five failed attempts entry is locked briefly. The dialog then shows how many seconds to wait before trying again.
Remove the PIN
Remove PIN deletes your PIN after you enter it once. You can then neither clock in nor be picked as a switch target until you set a new one.
Forgot your PIN
You cannot overwrite a forgotten PIN yourself – changing it requires the old one. Ask someone with admin rights: they can set a new PIN without knowing the old one. See Reset passwords & PINs.
