Create a contact
Capture and manage customers, suppliers and contact persons in SimpliServ
→ Open the "Contacts" module in SimpliServ
Contacts are the heart of your CRM. In SimpliServ you maintain customers, suppliers and other contact persons centrally and link them to proposals, orders, invoices and activities.
Create a new contact
Open the "Contacts" module
In the left-hand navigation, go to Contacts. You'll see a list of all existing entries including filters, search and tags.
Click "New contact"
Use the button in the top right to open the creation form. First choose whether this is an individual or a company.
Enter master data
The name or company is usually a required field. Optionally you add:
- Address (billing and shipping address)
- Email and phone
- VAT ID / tax number
- Notes and payment terms
- Urgency duration – overrides the group/default time for this customer's cases (see Urgency & SLA)
Save the contact
Click Save. The new contact is immediately available for selection in all sales and billing modules.
Contact groups and tags
With groups you can structure contacts by function (e.g. "regular customers", "wholesalers"). Tags are suited to loose, cross-column markers such as campaigns or status. How to create and maintain groups and contact types is covered in Contact groups & types.
Custom fields
If the standard fields aren't enough, define additional fields under Administration → Custom Fields. They appear automatically in the contact form. Setup is described in the guide Custom fields.
Contacts can later be created in bulk via CSV import. You'll find the importer in the "Contacts" module via the three-dot menu. More on this under Import & export data.
