FinanzOnline
A guide to the cash-register web service in FinanzOnline, focused on pages 60-62 of the official manual.
Pages 60 to 62 of the official BMF cash-register manual explain how to create a web service user for your register in FinanzOnline and which input fields have to be filled in. The following overview summarizes the steps.
Create a web service user
- Log into your FinanzOnline account or, as an authorized representative, switch to the client for whom you manage the register.
- Navigate via "Entries" → "Registers" and click "Create a user for the cash-register web service".
- Assign a user ID (8–12 characters including at least one letter and one digit, without umlauts or special characters) and a PIN that you enter twice. The PIN is between 8 and 128 characters long, must contain at least one letter and one number, and may also use umlauts and the following special characters:
! # $ % * + , - . / : ; = ? @ \ _ ( ) [ ] { } | ~. - Save the new user – you use the credentials (user ID + PIN) later for the RKSV submission via the web service, and the participant identification (TID) is shown right after creation.
Note on possible restrictions
- The user identification still must not contain umlauts or special characters, so it stays compatible with the FinanzOnline validation.
- The PIN, by contrast, is much more flexible: it allows umlauts and the special characters mentioned above, up to 128 characters long.
- Note that the generated web service user is intended solely for the cash-register web service (plus the session web service if applicable), not for the normal FinanzOnline login or other web services.
