Connect Shopify
Connect Shopify to SimpliServ via OAuth, map locations, import products and activate the connection – including the sync of orders, products, stock and shipping.
→ Open the Shopify integration in SimpliServ · Open the Shopify connector
With the Shopify connection you connect your shop to SimpliServ via OAuth. Products, stock and orders are then synced — orders from Shopify land as shop orders, and product changes and shipping flow back to the shop.
Where to find the connection
You'll find the connector under Administration → Organisation → Connectors. The Shopify tile shows the connection status there (Connected or Not connected). Clicking the tile opens the detail view, in which you can disconnect an existing connection. The actual connection and setup assistant runs on the dedicated Shopify integration page.
Connect the shop
Open the Shopify integration
Open the Shopify integration page. As long as no shop is connected, you see the Connect to Shopify card.
Enter the shop domain
Enter your shop's myshopify.com domain (e.g. your-shop.myshopify.com). The domain is normalized — you can also enter just the shop name, the .myshopify.com is added automatically.
Confirm the installation
Click Connect. You're redirected to Shopify to authorize the app. After confirming, you return to SimpliServ and see the message Connection successful.
SimpliServ registers the webhooks in your shop already when connecting. Which permissions the app uses you see on the connector tile under Permissions: Read & write products, Read orders and Read customers. The actually granted permissions are additionally shown in the Shopify integration's connection details.
After the first connection, the connection is in Setup pending — the connection only becomes active after the setup assistant.
Complete the setup
As long as the connection is pending, the Complete setup assistant appears with three steps:
Map locations
Link each Shopify location to a SimpliServ warehouse so stock can be synced. Each warehouse can only be assigned to one location; leave locations you don't need on Not assigned. At least one mapping is required.
Import products
Start the initial product import. This takes over all existing Shopify products with variants and images into SimpliServ. The progress shows Products · Variants · Images · Errors. This import is a prerequisite so that incoming orders can map their SKUs.
Activate the connection
Once locations are mapped and the import is complete, click Activate. The connection switches to Connected.
Existing Shopify orders are not imported retroactively — only orders that come in after the connection are synced.
What is synced
Via the registered webhooks, SimpliServ syncs in both directions:
- Orders (Shopify → SimpliServ): New orders come in via webhook and are created as a shop order. More on this under Shop orders.
- Products (SimpliServ → Shopify): Product changes are pushed to the shop when auto-sync to Shopify is enabled on the product. Incoming product webhooks conversely keep imported products up to date.
- Stock (both directions): Stock changes are synced via the mapped locations/warehouses.
- Shipping (SimpliServ → Shopify): When a delivery note for a shop order is shipped, SimpliServ reports the fulfillment information back to Shopify.
Details on the sync direction and product mapping are under Set up channel sync.
Control an individual product
In the product detail view there's the Shopify card. There you see the sync status (Synced, Syncing, Disabled, Sync failed or No connection), the Shopify ID and the last sync. Via the Auto-sync to Shopify toggle you set per product whether changes are pushed automatically. For synced products, Open in Shopify opens the item directly in the Shopify admin.
Connection details and disconnecting
On the Shopify integration page, the connected card shows:
- the shop's currency, country, language and prices incl. tax
- the granted permissions
- the last checked at timestamp
To disconnect, click Disconnect — either on the integration page or via the Shopify tile under Connectors. On disconnecting, the access token is removed and all product mappings are marked as disconnected. Reconnecting runs through the full setup assistant again.
